Starr Wellness Collective (SWC) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Strategist/Website Designer Intern to enhance our online presence and effectively communicate our mission and programs. You will play a key role in implementing content strategies, designing website elements, and ensuring a user-friendly experience, while collaborating closely with our subject matter experts.
Purpose of Internship: This internship is designed exclusively for training and learning purposes, providing you with practical experience and educational development within your chosen field. You will receive direct supervision throughout the internship process, benefiting from a structured training plan that guides your involvement with various tasks. This role is not intended to, nor will it, displace or replace the work of any paid employee of Starr Wellness Collective.
Responsibilities
Content Strategy Development: Develop a content strategy that aligns with SWC’s mission and goals, conduct content audits, create a content calendar, and collaborate with the marketing coordinator to align goals.
Website Design and Management: Design and update website pages, ensure the website is user-friendly, optimize content for search engines (SEO), and source and edit images/videos.
Content Creation: Create engaging and informative website content, including blog posts, articles, and program descriptions.
Analytics and Reporting: Monitor website traffic and user engagement, analyze data to identify trends, and prepare reports on website performance.
Orientation Participation: Participate in all orientation sessions to understand SWC’s mission, programs, and branding guidelines.

Internship Agreement/Offer Letter: Intern and the employer clearly understand that there is no expectation of compensation.
Learning Objectives: Internship provides training that would be similar to that which would be given in an educational environment, including the clinical and other hands-on training provided by educational institutions.
Demonstrate it’s structured like an academic program: Internship is tied to the intern’s formal education program by the receipt of academic credit or a diploma.
Internship Hours and Duration: internship accommodates the intern’s academic commitments by corresponding to the academic calendar.
Clear start and end date: Duration of the internship is limited to the period in which the internship provides the intern with beneficial learning.
Internship is to assist, learn, and contribute with a designated supervisor/mentor who actively provides guidance, feedback, and training: Intern’s work complements, rather than displaces, the work of paid employees while providing significant educational benefits to the intern.

Complete Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification:
Section 1 (Employee Information and Attestation): The intern must complete this section on or before their first day of work.
Section 2 (Employer Review and Verification): SWC (or an authorized representative) must physically examine the “Work Authorization card”. This must be done within three business days of the intern’s first day of work.
Work Authorization card can not be expired.
Qualifications
Qualifications Currently a student majoring in a related field such as Web Design, Digital Media, Communications, or Marketing. Proficiency in web design software (e.g., WordPress, Wix, Squarespace). Basic understanding of SEO principles. Strong writing and communication skills. Creative and innovative mindset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Interest in health, wellness, and youth development.
