Studio/Master Control Operator

(part-time / nights / weekends)

Going to college and need a job with a schedule that complements your school schedule?  Looking for a second job or just wanting to get your foot in the door to a media career?  WPSD-TV has an immediate opening for part-time Studio Operator.

Intrigued?  Here is what you’ll be doing:

Studio/Master Control Operators assist in newscast production, working as Floor Director in the Studio during newscast and breaking news/weather. When in Master Control they will air programs and commercials using Master Control Automation system which controls playback of video-server based material.  MC/Production operators will understand the manual operation of all M/C equipment in the event the Automation system fails, will ingest commercial, promotional, public service and programming material into server.

Perform light janitorial duties as assigned.  Work schedule fluctuates, based on needs of programming and newscasts, but mostly weeknights and weekend newscasts.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Broadcasting or TV production experience preferred. Must have good eyesight, hearing, clear speech and the ability to work on ladders and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
