SHRM-Atlanta is one of the largest chapters of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and shares its purpose of elevating the HR profession. SHRM-Atlanta’s predominant goal is to be the voice of HR in metro Atlanta and be the first contact for those seeking information and solutions.
SHRM-Atlanta’s annual conference, SOAHR, will take place March 24-26, 2025 at Gas South Convention Center in Duluth, GA, and selected interns will support the execution of this event.
PS: This internship can be remote other than the attendance at the SOAHR conference.
Internship: February – April 2025
Responsibilities
Support the management of the exhibit hall, including sponsors/exhibitors needs, meals, and break-out sessions
Operate on-site logistics including signage, wayfinding, and catering support
Assist with on-site registration for attendees, exhibitors, and speakers, including attendee check-in, on-site badge printing, and troubleshooting
Aid concurrent session logistics (AV set up, room check-in, speaker support)
Provide excellent customer service to all attendees
Review and process event surveys and attendee data
Requirements
Current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in event planning, customer service, marketing, or association management fields
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously in a changing environment
Proactive problem prevention, critical thinking, and customer-focused mindset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
