Corporate Publication Intern

Ideal Applicants: Early-career students seeking practical experience intersecting corporate publication and strategic content development through technology; little to no previous experience required. [1st – 4th Year Students]

Duration: 5-12+ flexible hours/week alongside busy academic schedule; positions semester-long or year-long; weekly responsibilities prioritize quality of project experience rather than quantity of hours logged.

Objective: This internship provides hands-on experience, integrating real-world career functions with artificial intelligence (AI) competencies in corporate publication across various mediums.

Interns in this role will be assigned to projects based on their skills, department needs, and current organizational goals. Responsibilities vary by specific assignment within the department but may include:

  • Support in Leadership and Strategic Oversight:
    • Assist in leading the development, revision, and maintenance of key organizational documents, including constitutions, guides, policy manuals, annual reports, white papers, and more!
    • Support the oversight of content projects from concept through publication, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Help guide the design team in creating visually compelling documents that adhere to brand standards.
  • Document and Content Development Assistance:
    • Aid in developing and refining high-priority organizational documents and narrative-driven content that reflects community experiences.
    • Assist in integrating qualitative narratives with quantitative data to produce educational multimedia content.
    • Support the supervision of the production of technical, corporate, and multimedia content to ensure alignment with the brand’s voice.
  • Collaboration and Coordination Support:
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, designers, and content teams to ensure accuracy and quality of documents.
    • Help coordinate efforts across teams, delegating tasks and mentoring to maintain strategic alignment.
  • Design and Visual Standards Assistance:
    • Support the management of the design process for corporate publications, enhancing visual quality and readability while maintaining brand consistency.
    • Assist in merging informative content with aesthetic design principles.
  • Quality Control and Assurance Support:
    • Help ensure all documents and content reflect the operational standards and strategic messaging of SafeStride.
    • Assist in the regular review and updating of documents to ensure they are current, clear, and effectively communicate the organization’s mission.
  • Department-Wide A.I. Integration:
    • Utilize AI tools such as Grammarly Business and Acrolinx to automate style standardization, error correction, and content formatting, ensuring communications meet professional standards under supervision.

**Our internships are eligible for academic credit towards specific degree programs (3 credit hours = 120 internship hours completed). Eligibility varies by individual and degree program, so please specify degree program details when applying to ensure you meet the requirements.
