Multimedia Fellow

Ideal Applicants: More advanced students seeking leadership and deeper engagement in creative industries, artistic production, and multimedia development; professional experience and foundational industry understanding is required. [2nd – 4th Year Students]

  • Encouraged majors/areas of study: Graphic Design, Film and Video Production, Fine Arts, Performing Arts (Dance, Theatre, Music, etc.), Fashion Design, Digital Media, Marketing, Photography, Communications, MIS, AI and Machine Learning, Cultural Studies, Art History, Business Administration/General Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Duration: 7-12+ flexible hours/week alongside a busy academic schedule; positions semester-long, year-long, or more—varies with individual student goals, abilities, and performance; weekly responsibilities prioritize quality of project experience rather than quantity of hours logged.

Objective: To advance students’ leadership and professional expertise in multimedia, merging real-world career functions with with artificial intelligence (AI) competencies. Fellows will develop critical skills in managing and executing comprehensive multimedia projects, maintaining creative integrity, and utilizing advanced AI tools to enhance production and innovation.

Fellows in this role will be assigned to projects based on their skills, department needs, and current organizational goals. Responsibilities vary by specific assignment within the department but may include:

  • Strategic Leadership and Execution:
    • Lead projects, events, and strategies in photography, videography, and various forms of multimedia to ensure coherence with branding and messaging.
    • Implement and adapt strategic visions across multimedia projects to meet organizational objectives and quality standards, incorporating generative art and digital projections to create unique visual experiences.
    • Manage the full lifecycle of multimedia projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and quality benchmarks..
    • Oversee workflows, resource allocation, and project setups for efficient operations, utilizing AI-driven design tools to automate processes and enhance creativity.
  • Content Distribution and Asset Management:
    • Document events and highlight our services through high-quality multimedia content, ensuring alignment with strategic marketing plans.
    • Manage the dissemination and strategic distribution of content across multiple platforms, overseeing the storage, cataloging, and retrieval of multimedia assets.
    • Coordinate teams and resources across departments, ensuring efficient collaboration and equipment maintenance.
  • Innovation in Art and Design:
    • Facilitate the creation and presentation of fashion collections in physical or virtual environments, utilizing design software or virtual reality platforms.
    • Use AI or other instruments to generate music or soundscapes and explore new musical styles, creating immersive audio experiences that adapt to the environment.
    • Employ AI-powered tools for digital painting and drawing, offering dynamic brushes and textures that adapt to the artist’s style.
    • Design and create sculptures digitally, using 3D printing and virtual reality, allowing for intricate and innovative artistic expressions.
  • Performance and Installation Art:
    • Oversee the production of short films, documentaries, and creative content, from script writing and directing to editing. Ensure high-quality execution and alignment with strategic objectives to enhance narrative and visual storytelling.
    • Develop interactive installations that respond to viewer interactions, enhancing the dynamic interaction between the artwork and its audience.
    • Integrate AR and motion capture technologies to create immersive environments for performances, blending physical and digital worlds
    • Showcase artistic projects of any medium to a global audience without physical limitations, aligning with strategic marketing goals and enhancing the organization’s digital presence.
  • Operational and Creative Management:
    • Coordinate day-to-day operations, including scheduling shoots, managing multimedia equipment, and overseeing digital creation environments like virtual reality sculpting and 3D printing.
    • Ensure smooth integration of multimedia projects across various departments, incorporating advanced technologies like augmented reality and spatial audio.
  • Content Production and Quality Control:
    • Produce and oversee the creation of content for events, promotional activities, and editorial needs, maintaining high standards of quality and creative integrity.
    • Supervise the editing and enhancement of multimedia content, including photography and videography, to meet quality standards and improve narrative and visual impact.
  • Department-wide A.I. Integration:
    • Utilize AI tools like Adobe Premiere Pro’s Auto Reframe, Descript, and Canva to automate and enhance creative processes, boosting production efficiency and creative output across any artistic mediums.
    • Provide technical support and creative oversight across multimedia projects, ensuring all content meets strategic and brand standards.

**Our fellowships are eligible for academic credit towards specific degree programs (3 credit hours = 120 internship hours completed). Eligibility varies by individual and degree program, so please specify degree program details when applying to ensure you meet the requirements.
