Corporate Publication Fellow

  • Encouraged majors/areas of study: Technical Writing, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Communications, Graphic Design, Accounting, MIS, Computer Science, AI and Machine Learning, Business Administration/General Business, Language Studies, Journalism, English, Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Duration: 7-12+ flexible hours/week alongside a busy academic schedule; positions semester-long, year-long, or more—varies with individual student goals, abilities, and performance; weekly responsibilities prioritize quality of project experience rather than quantity of hours logged.

Objective: To advance students’ leadership and professional expertise in corporate publications, intersecting real-world career functions with artificial intelligence (AI) competencies. Fellows will develop essential skills in managing high-priority documents, guiding design teams, and implementing AI tools to standardize and optimize content.

Fellows in this role will be assigned to projects based on their skills, department needs, and current organizational goals. Responsibilities vary by specific assignment within the department but may include:

  • Leadership and Strategic Oversight:
    • Lead the development, revision, and maintenance of key organizational documents, including constitutions, guides, policy manuals, annual reports, white papers, and more—aligning them with organizational goals.
    • Direct content projects from concept through publication, guiding design teams to create documents that adhere to brand standards.
  • Document and Content Development:
    • Develop and refine essential organizational documents and narrative-driven content that reflects community experiences.
    • Integrate qualitative narratives with quantitative data to produce educational multimedia content.
    • Supervise the production of technical, corporate, and multimedia content, ensuring it aligns with the brand voice.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather insights for content creation.
    • Coordinate team efforts, ensuring accuracy, quality, and strategic alignment of all documents and content.
  • Design and Visual Standards:
    • Oversee the integration of design elements in corporate publications to ensure visual communication impact and consistency.
    • Manage the design process, enhancing visual quality and readability while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
    • Ensure meticulous crafting of documents to reflect operational standards, brand ethos, and strategic messaging.
    • Review and update documents to maintain current, clear, and effective communication of policies, procedures, and mission.
  • Department-Wide A.I. Integration:
    • Utilize AI tools such as Grammarly Business and Acrolinx to automate style standardization, error correction, and content formatting, ensuring communications meet professional standards under supervision.

**Our fellowships are eligible for academic credit towards specific degree programs (3 credit hours = 120 internship hours completed). Eligibility varies by individual and degree program, so please specify degree program details when applying to ensure you meet the requirements.
