Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is currently seeking students for a public relations internship for the 2024 Summer term.

Roles, activities, and duties:

• Writing of press releases, articles, internal emails and more.
• Posting of press releases on TGH.org.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on projects.
• Support news media interviews and other events as needed.
• Support creation of internal reports.
• Content development for TGH publications. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Major in Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing.
• Internship must be for a course credit or degree requirement.
• Possess interest and skillset in writing, developing communications plans, and news media interviews, etc.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus.

Successful results:

• Successfully develop messaging and content for specific writing assignments.
• Participate in updating project tracking platform and production planning.
• Develop knowledge of Tampa General’s vision and organizational strategy.
• Develop expertise in Tampa General’s writing and messaging style.
• Build and nurture cross department relationships.
