JOB SUMMARY:
The Public Relations Coordinator will support the overall operations of the public relations team in the planning and execution of programs for the launch of Universal Epic Universe, including assisting with the implementation of tactics, participating in department planning, pitching media and influencers, assisting with media and influencer travel and onsite logistics, monitoring coverage related to Universal Orlando, performing administrative tasks and more.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist PR team with the execution of various tactics leading up to the opening of Universal Epic Universe, including press release announcements, distributing materials via Cision database, researching potential media targets via MuckRack and online research, supporting on-site events, pre-planning for on-site productions, and more.
- Assists with media and influencer travel logistics for the opening of Universal Epic Universe, including recording/monitoring RSVPs and providing timely updates, booking airfare and other travel accommodations, itinerary development and more.
- Perform administrative duties, including assisting with media inquiries, monitoring media inboxes, and more to support the department.
- Provide on-site support during the grand opening of Universal Epic Universe, where responsibilities could include but are not limited to: overseeing media check-in and on-site media center, escorting media and influencers to coverage opportunities and ensuring coverage aligns with brand needs, assisting with various on-site productions, providing real-time coverage updates throughout the events, and more.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications or related field is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of experience in Communications and/or Public Relations fields required;
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment is preferred ;or equivalent combination of education and experience.
