Graham Media Group stations WJXT and WCWJ, in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a technically competent individual with a history of strong attention to detail and excellent communication and teamwork capabilities to serve as an Operations Engineer. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to dynamic live broadcasts and technical operations in a fast-paced broadcast and digital ecosystem.

WJXT is the number one media station in northeast Florida producing 65+ hours of live news and local programming per week along with the #1 rated local news website. The Operations Engineer, under the direction of Engineering, News and Operations management, will assist, proactively, with the day-to-day operations in a cutting-edge media environment.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  •  Experience in broadcast operations or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in broadcast and automation systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.

 

DESIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • College or Technical School a plus
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment as required.
