Social Media & Hospitality Marketing Intern (Unpaid/Volunteer, Spring 2026)
Oliba Knights is a growing real estate company with an international portfolio. Our company includes commercial property and a long-term rental in Florida, alongside international short-term rentals (Airbnbs) in the Dominican Republic.
We are seeking a creative and marketing-savvy Social Media & Hospitality Marketing Intern to amplify the online presence and drive bookings for our short-term rental properties. This is a fantastic remote, volunteer opportunity for a student to gain practical experience in the fast-paced travel and hospitality marketing sector.
Key Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for assisting with the following tasks, with a primary focus on promoting the Dominican Republic short-term rentals:
Social Media Strategy: Assist with developing and executing a comprehensive social media content calendar (e.g., Instagram, TikTok) to promote the unique value and aesthetics of our properties.
Content Creation: Assist with creating engaging and visually appealing multimedia content (photos, short videos, stories, reels) tailored for different platforms to showcase the properties and local Dominican Republic attractions.
Audience Engagement: Assist with monitoring social media channels, responding to comments and direct messages, and fostering a community of potential guests.
Performance Reporting: Assist with tracking and analyzing social media performance metrics (e.g., engagement rates, follower growth, referral traffic) to optimize future campaigns.
Branding & Consistency: Assist with ensuring all social media communications adhere to the Oliba Knights brand guidelines and voice.
SEO/Hashtag Research: Assist with researching trending topics, relevant travel hashtags, and keywords to increase organic reach and visibility.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently enrolled in a degree program focused on Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with major social media platforms (especially Instagram and TikTok) and an understanding of platform-specific content best practices.
- Strong creative writing and editing skills with an ability to craft engaging captions and posts.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) and video editing software is a plus.
- A portfolio or examples of previous social media work (personal or professional) is highly valued.
- Ability to work independently, manage project deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
