Are you ready to jump start your career in investigative journalism? The Scripps Howard Foundation offers a 12-month fellowship program in conjunction with the Scripps Washington Bureau/Newsy and The Texas Tribune. These young journalists – with no more than 5 years of professional experience in the industry – would work from Jun. 1, 2022 – May 26, 2023.

A multimedia reporter would work closely with the Texas Tribune’s multimedia team and reporters to produce documentary-style stories about the most important issues facing Texas. This person would get involved in every aspect of multimedia production, from planning and pitching original ideas to camerawork in the field to editing and post-production. Ideal candidates have experience in these areas along with a strong interest in policy-focused journalism and multimedia storytelling. Expertise in Adobe Premiere and Spanish language skills a plus.


  1. Completed Bachelor’s Degree by June 1, 2022
  2. No more than 5 years of professional experience in journalism
  3. Able to work from June 1, 2022 through May 26, 2023

  5. A passion for journalism and a desire to build your leadership skills
