Mickey Visit is seeking contract news writers who can cover breaking Disney news as it happens and deliver timely, accurate, and well-structured articles for our audience. This is a freelance, on-call contractor role. Writers are offered assignments as stories break and are expected to begin work immediately once they accept a story. Quick turnaround and high-quality execution are essential.

Assignments include reporting on Disney announcements, operational changes, closures, new offerings, pricing updates, and other time-sensitive developments across Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Disney Parks worldwide. Writers are responsible for the full article workflow, including drafting, fact-checking, headline writing, formatting in WordPress, image selection, and basic SEO best practices.

Visits to the theme parks are not part of the role and are not required, though deep knowledge of the parks is essential.

In addition to breaking news, Mickey Visit maintains a steady flow of planned or evergreen assignments each week. Examples include updates on changes at Disneyland, new merchandise releases such as Loungefly bags, and round-ups of recent Disney news events. Availability Expectations

Requirements

Ability to quickly and accurately cover breaking news
