The University of Florida’s Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing (SCM) is seeking a digital marketing graduate assistant for the 2025 – 2026 academic year. This position will report to the Senior Marketing Specialist.
The ideal candidate for this role will have held positions or internships that allowed them direct experience executing digital marketing plans with at least two of the following tactics:
Website content editing
Email marketing
Content marketing
Paid digital marketing
Web and/or social media analytics
The ideal candidate must also perform well in a team setting, is able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, likes to be on the lookout for new digital trends and is solutions oriented. This position is in-person and only available for current full-time University of Florida graduate students taking at least 9 credit hours a semester.
Responsibilities
60% Ongoing marketing activities
Curate content for owned and paid digital channels
Assist with digital ad setup and monitoring
Update website content on SCM websites
Curate images for print and digital ads
Assist with clerical duties pertaining to website projects and LiveWhale Content Management System (CMS)
30% Reporting
Create reports that consolidate all website and digital media metrics into a single, centralized document
Create graphs, charts and other visual elements that enables easy data consumption
10% Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Current full-time University of Florida graduate student taking at least 9 credit hours
Ability to work 20 hours/week spread over a minimum of 3 days/week
Student must work in-person
Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Google Analytics and native social media analytics tools (e.g. Facebook Insights)
Familiarity web design best practices
Experience working with WYSIWYG editors, HTML5 and CSS3 knowledge is a plus
Familiarity with ADA web standards is a plus
Work Schedule
The work schedule will be set within the office’s business hours (Monday – Friday, between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
Compensation & Benefits
Bi-weekly stipend set per GAU (currently $1056.41)
Tuition waiver (Students are responsible for fees)
5 paid personal days per semester (non-cumulative)
