Job Summary/Description:
WTOC is seeking an organized and creative professional to lead our sales team in the role of Director of Sales. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated to develop and execute a strategic plan for sales success to achieve revenue goals, develop new local direct business, and increase station digital billing. Must be focused and driven, with the ability to motivate and hold a team accountable for individual and team sales goals.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Providing strategic leadership to achieve revenue targets with an emphasis on digital and new local direct business growth
– Recruiting, coaching, and training sales managers and sellers
– Forecasting, managing budgets, and developing/executing a strategic sales plan are critical
– Collaborating with other station department heads to achieve station goals and deliver key results
Qualifications/Requirements:
– A bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university is preferred
– Minimum of five years of prior experience in broadcast sales
– Minimum of three years of experience managing a sales team, including experience in strategic planning, and a track record of growing revenue.
