| Experience:
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast and non-broadcast equipment in studios, control rooms, and mobile/remote environments.
- Support field operations, including remote productions, ENG workflows, satellite Internet, and IP live-video streaming systems (bonded cellular, SRT/RTMP, and similar technologies).
- Maintain and support network infrastructure and computer systems: switches, routers, servers, workstations, and other IT related systems.
- Provide IT support to staff: workstation setup, software updates, user support, backups, and incident response.
- Create, maintain, and update wiring diagrams, system configuration documentation, and inventory records.
- Perform preventive maintenance and testing to ensure on-air reliability and compliance with technical standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and IT teams on system upgrades, deployments, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and be available for occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and limited travel as required.
| Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of broadcast maintenance and/or broadcast IT experience.
- Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree with a foundation in electronics, broadcast engineering, or information technology preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
- Proven interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Self-starter who learns quickly and can work independently as well as part of a larger team.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to travel for remote productions and site visits.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces.
- Comfortable pulling and installing wiring, using hand and power tools, and working on small components.
Desired Skills (not required)
- Experience with IP-based video workflows, NDI, SRT, bonded-cellular encoders, and live-streaming platforms.
- Familiarity with network configuration (VLANs, QoS, basic firewall rules) and Windows/Linux/macOS environments.
