Social Media Intern
We are seeking an intern to assist with digital marketing, social media and content creation efforts. The intern will assist with a variety of tasks and should be able to work efficiently both independently and with a small team.
The Social Media internship has several sub-roles, due to the variety of social media platforms AFT is actively using. Interns should be comfortable creating and posting content, repurposing content, managing and optimizing AFT’s YouTube channel, creating and tracking social media campaigns, and working directly with the marketing team. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest are various platforms used by AFT.

Responsibilities
Develop a backlog of service area materials, including presentations, flyers, digital graphics, creating weekly newsletters and video content.
Assist in writing engaging content, surveys, copy for videos and develop ideas for video content, in support of AFT brand awareness.
Strengthen and grow our online community by actively reviewing our social media and website analytics.
Administrative tasks such as Trello updates, scheduling, addressing phone/email messages, responding to social media comments & private messages.
Qualifications:
● Seeking a degree in advertising, public relations, computer science or related field
● Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office/Google Suite (Word, PowerPoint,Excel/Docs, Slides, Sheets)
● Extensive knowledge of major social media platforms
● Ability to think creatively to identify and provide resolutions to problems
● Excellent written and interpersonal skills
● Video production skills
● Experience with research and analytics
● A positive, go-getter attitude
● Ability to work independently
● Highly organized
