This internship offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, and content production. Interns work directly with creative and marketing teams on live campaigns, assisting in concept development, copywriting, posting, and analytics. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, understands social platforms, and is eager to learn the full process of agency content creation—from planning to execution.
Responsibilities
- Assist with social media content calendars and campaign planning.
- Write, edit, and proof digital copy for multiple platforms.
- Support post scheduling, community engagement, and performance tracking.
- Conduct trend research and competitive analysis to inform content ideas.
- Collaborate with design, video, and marketing teams on integrated campaigns.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and pitch decks for client projects.
Preferred Skills
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook best practices.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools preferred.
- Understanding of analytics or social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Education & Experience
- Current student or recent graduate in marketing, communications, journalism, media, or related field with a minimum of one year of studies left
- Prior internship or project-based experience in social media, marketing, or content creation a plus.
- Location: In-person at SCAD Media’s Gainesville, FL office at the UF Innovation Hub

You’ll help drive our digital storytelling and audience engagement by:
- Writing clear, engaging copy for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter
- Scheduling posts to align with our clients topics
- Assisting in social media strategy and trendspotting
- Monitoring post performance and audience interaction
- Helping repurpose content for online audiences (reels, stories, etc.)
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine interest in tech, innovation, and digital culture
- Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, influencer, or organization
- Strong writing and grammar skills with a sharp editorial eye
- Basic familiarity with editing tools like Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or iMovie
- Ability to balance creative freedom with brand consistency
