Under the supervision of UF/IFAS Extension Artificial and Business Intelligence (ABI) Communications Manager, the OPS Strategic Communications Student Assistant will be a member of the UF/IFAS Extension Strategic Communications Summer 2026 Cohort (12 weeks: May 18 through August 14, 2026) and the ABI Team in implementing Phase 1 and Phase 2 activities of the 2026 statewide communications initiative. Using an AI Agent Package, this position assists with county-level research, statewide monitoring, content development, digital organization and rapid‑response communication support to help strengthen and prepare for upcoming Extension County MOU review cycles while enhancing the public visibility and value of UF/IFAS Extension.

The role is ideal for students interested in communications, public affairs, analytics, digital strategy and community engagement. Work will directly contribute to a statewide operational model designed to support UF/IFAS Extension counties, improve messaging consistency and modernize UF/IFAS Extension’s strategic communications workflow.
