Digital Marketing Intern

Duration: 5-12+ flexible hours/week alongside busy academic schedule; positions semester-long or year-long; weekly responsibilities prioritize quality of project experience rather than quantity of hours logged.
Objective: This internship provides hands-on experience, integrating real-world career functions with artificial intelligence (AI) competencies in digital marketing.

Interns in this role will be assigned to projects based on their skills, department needs, and current organizational goals. Responsibilities vary by specific assignment within the department but may include:

  • Leadership and Team Management Support:
    • Assist in managing teams of designers, content creators, and technical staff, providing support and learning from creative and strategic directions.
    • Help manage resources and workflows to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of digital marketing projects.
  • Design and Content Production Assistance:
    • Support in conceptualizing and executing digital marketing design strategies, including creating graphics, animations, video content, and email templates.
    • Assist in developing SEO-optimized content for platforms like blogs, social media, and websites.
    • Help manage a content calendar and support the production of content that drives traffic and aligns with strategic marketing objectives.
  • Digital Advertising and Campaign Management Assistance:
    • Support the oversight of digital advertising campaigns from conception to analysis across multiple platforms.
    • Assist in crafting and managing targeted email marketing campaigns, performing audience segmentation and post-campaign analysis.
    • Help monitor and optimize campaign budgets and resources for maximum ROI.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution Assistance:
    • Support the alignment of digital marketing strategies with business goals, collaborating closely with marketing strategists and other departments.
    • Assist in managing website content updates and functionality to enhance user engagement and performance.
  • Quality Control and Optimization Support:
    • Ensure the quality and visual appeal of all digital assets, supporting the maintenance of brand consistency.
    • Help optimize website performance and user experience, integrating feedback to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Integration and Collaboration Assistance:
    • Facilitate collaboration between marketing and other departments to ensure integrated efforts and strategic alignment.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to marketing teams, managing logistics, timelines, and resources for digital marketing projects.
  • Department-wide A.I. Integration:
    • Aid in evaluating and optimizing digital marketing tools and platforms like HubSpot and Adobe Sensei to enhance campaign performance and provide actionable insights.
    • Help analyze data from various platforms to identify trends and evaluate campaign performance, using insights to refine strategies.

**Our internships are eligible for academic credit towards specific degree programs (3 credit hours = 120 internship hours completed). Eligibility varies by individual and degree program, so please specify degree program details when applying to ensure you meet the requirements.
