Job Title: Paid Social Media Strategist

Job Description:

The Paid Social Media Strategist takes the lead in paid social strategy, implementation, and day-to-day management and reporting. They manage all social media advertising and strategic consulting services specifically related to paid social media. The Paid Social Media Strategist works alongside the Digital Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, Community Managers, and Media Director to ensure campaign and client success. Additionally, this role assists in support of paid search. Efforts may include conducting audits, research, preparing write-ups, and estimating budgets.


Create, manage and optimize paid social campaigns in conjunction with the social media team for Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging social platforms.
Analyzes paid social metrics, prepares performance reports against client KPIs, recommendations for future campaigns, and optimizes.
Experience developing, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting on paid campaigns on social platforms (Facebook/Instagram Ads, Business Manager, Twitter Ads/Analytics, Linkedin, Pinterest, etc.).
Collaborate with Digital Marketing Manager and Media Director to create comprehensive and holistic media plans, paid social campaign strategy, and budget recommendations based on client-specific goals and overall media strategy.
Oversee growth in performance. Manage campaigns to meet clients’ ROI goals, analyze results across platforms & campaigns, and make actionable recommendations for improvement.
Ensure campaign delivery, performance and goals are being fulfilled.
Hold bi-weekly/monthly Paid Social meetings with the Social Media team.
Maintain account budgeting/pacing and work with the Billing team to reconcile and pace budgets/invoices/spend monthly.
Work in conjunction with the accounts team to develop paid social, creative assets.
Provide insights and estimated results to the accounts team to upsell & launch new campaigns to existing clients.
Set up Facebook/LinkedIn tracking pixels and ensure all KPI’s are being properly tracked.
Manages the Facebook Support relationship to resolve outstanding issues.
Provide mentorship and feedback to the social team members creating content to optimize campaigns and strategies.
Research and practice; stay ahead of the latest updates regarding tools, techniques, and methods related to paid social media.
Present plans and reports to clients, where appropriate.

2 – 4 years of professional social media experience working either within an agency, corporate marketing department or as an independent freelancer. Four-year degree required in marketing, advertising, PR, or similar. Should have experience in social media tools and techniques, including traditional and emerging platforms.
Working knowledge of Google Search, Display, and YouTube campaigns is a plus.
