Are you passionate about public relations and looking to gain real-world experience? We’re seeking a driven and creative intern to help secure paid speaking engagements for an accomplished professional in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) industry. This speaker has already secured multiple paid engagements at top universities and large corporate companies and is now looking to expand into community events, conferences, and additional corporate engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct email marketing campaigns to secure paid speaking gigs at universities, conferences, community events, and other companies.
• Research and reach out to leads, event organizers, and speaking agencies.
• Build and maintain a contact list, nurturing relationships with potential clients and industry contacts.
• Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline outreach and follow-up processes.
• Collaborate on strategy to increase visibility and expand speaking opportunities.

Requirements:

• Access to your own laptop and reliable internet connection.
• Proficient with GSuite (Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.).
• Strong written communication skills.
• Experience with email marketing, outreach, or PR is a plus.
• Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.) preferred.
• Self-motivated, with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to manage time effectively and work independently.

Compensation:

• 10-20 hours per week with flexible hours.
• Hourly pay range is ~$12-$15
• In addition to the flat rate, you will earn a 10% commission of each booked gig. Average speaking engagements pay $3,000 – $10,000+
